Alpha Alpha Lambda Scholarship and Educational Fund, Inc., founded by the Brothers of Alpha Alpha Lambda is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation. The main purpose of the Fund is to raise money for scholarships given to worthy students seeking post secondary education. However, the Fund also supports other educational and leadership activities which shape the minds and talents of our young people.

  • The Marion B. Frederick Scholarship – awarded to a graduate from an Essex County High School

  • The Marion B. Frederick Book Awards (2) – same as above

  • Johnson/Williams Science Awards (2) – awarded to a graduating senior with a Science Major from Essex County College

  • Alpha Leadership Development Institute The LDI program prepares outstanding high school students in the vital skills of leadership, college preparation and effective group interaction.  Living on a college campus for four days under the direction of recognized community leaders, these young men participate in important leadership development activities.  During the Institute the student participants (known as Ambassadors) begin the training and grooming to assume the roles of leaders and productive citizens throughout their communities.  Most importantly they join a network of support that is available to assist them in reaching their goals and aspirations.

  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Celebratory Luncheon – featuring the finalists in the chapter’s annual oratorical contest for young men since 1999

  • Adopt-A-School Program - Financial resources to private local educational institutions founded primarily for the education of people of color

The Brothers of Alpha Alpha Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. are eternally grateful for your past and future support of our educational endeavors.
